Many times a person going into a boutique for the first time is lacking sleep-their emotions up one minute and down the next. They are putting themselves on the line. If the boutique does not produce as well as they would have liked, they give up. You need to understand when starting your own business it takes time to figure out what sells well, prices and display. Some times what sells well at one show may not do as well at the next, or vice versa. Consistency and dedication are critical to one's boutique success.

This summer has been so HOT with very little rain, it seems every one is looking for a way to cool down! I came across this recipe for a great lemonade drink and wanted to share it with one and all out there looking for heat relief.

Fruity Lemonade Cooler

2 Cups Water
½ cup Country Time Lemonade Flavor Drink Mix
3 cups chopped seedless watermelon
1 cup ice cubes

Place all ingredients in blender: cover
Blend on high speed until smooth
Pour into glasses to serve.

Alternative Medicine: Bathing With Ginger Spice

Bathing with ginger is an excellent herbal medicine and therapy. Whether you have the aches and pains of arthritis, headache, cold and flu, lack of energy from parasites and toxins, or stomach discomfort from ulcers or menstrual pain, ginger can help. Ginger has many of the same effects of aspirin without the side effects of aspirin. Using the root of fresh ginger or powder ginger, the results can be wonderful. Below are the directions on how to use ginger while bathing.

-Use one to two tablespoons of high quality powdered ginger. This can be purchased at most health food stores. Powdered ginger is the most concentrated form of ginger because the moisture has been removed, leaving the ginger in its fullest strength form. The temperature of the water should be warm to almost hot. Be careful not to get the water so hot that you burn yourself. Not only will be bath help relieve the symptoms of various ailments; it is a wonderful aroma therapy and antioxidant.

-After bathing be sure to stay warm for one to two hours. Do not become chilled after your bath. Because ginger is a high antioxidant, you may experience a higher amount of elimination. Ginger raises the bodies’ temperature to rid itself of toxins; therefore you may also perspire more heavily. Don't worry, this is normal and positive. When you are first beginning with ginger, use one tablespoon. It is best to work up to a higher amount as your body becomes use to it.

In addition to the ginger-and honey combination, a health tonic or cough/cold syrup, ginger-and-honey can be used as a hot beverage or tea sweetener, cooking seasoning or table sauce, dessert topping or mixed with carbonated water to create a delicious homemade ginger ale.

To produce your own ginger syrup, add one part of fresh ginger (the root), grated or juiced, to three parts of honey and refrigerate (be sure to peel the ginger rhizome to extend its values and prevent fermentation.) Generally one to two teaspoons will be appropriate per 8 oz’s. of carbonated or hot water.

Wendy Sue Bayless has been one of my best vendors at my boutiques for years. Wendy Sue is the owner of Wendy Sue’s Candy based in Lindon, Utah. Her main item is decadent English Toffee. She is always one of our customers favorite booths, where she has samples of her English Toffee. Wrapped in beautiful bags, boxes or tins her chocolate treasure is a perfect food gift for all occasions.

Often you will see Wendy Sue’s father sitting at the booth. She says that he is her biggest supporter. He wears a name tag, "Wendy Sue’s Father". Wendy Sue declares proudly that he always sells more English Toffee than her because, he is so cute!

Welcome to terrisbluegoose.com. This has been an exciting start for the New Year. We are looking forward to our new online business opportunity. The boutiques have been held in Lehi, UT for the last nineteen years. Over those years the boutique has experienced a few changes, but our online boutique is the most exciting one yet.

Our goal is to provide our customers with quality products and excellent service. Also to give our vendors two great places to make money, online and at our three physical shows each year.

I could not run the boutique on my own. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and three beautiful daughters and a great group of friends. Each of whom support and help me so much. We have also been blessed in our family to have a son-in-law and the cutest little grandson. I am also thankful for the others in my life I can trun to when there is a big decision to be made.
